Global input lock
Pick the active keyboard input source from the menu bar and TypeLock switches back when another process changes it.
macOS menu bar utility
TypeLock keeps your chosen input method in place when macOS, Spotlight, Raycast, or another app decides to switch it behind your back.
What it does
Pick the active keyboard input source from the menu bar and TypeLock switches back when another process changes it.
Exclude apps from the global lock, or assign an input source that should activate when that app takes focus.
Tracks input changes, app activation, and accessibility focus so transient panels do not leave you typing in the wrong mode.
Install
git clone https://github.com/tehjones/typelock.git
cd typelock
./bundle.sh
cp -R TypeLock.app /Applications/
